travel hassle-free around berlin
tuned in christmas spirit, BVG (berlin’s public transit company) now sells edible hemp tickets for stressed commuters. they jokingly promise a relaxing journey, with a ticket that not only takes you home but maybe also brings you down.
the passengers can better handle the pre-christmas stress of a big city, simply by eating a ticket that swallows their anger. ‘because you have enough stress before christmas, you can at least switch off a bit on your way from A to B: in our buses and trains.’

the company says that the ticket doesn’t contain forbidden substances. each ticket consists of conventional edible paper, that has been drizzled with a fine layer of hemp oil — that is said to have a relaxing and calming effect.
don’t forget, the ticket is only valid when it’s unharmed, so you should consume it after your last trip. ‘eat your ticket only after the last trip of the day, otherwise, we will, for once, be stressed.’ the ticket costs € 8.80, is valid for the berlin AB zone and available for sale between december 13th and 17th.
hemp oil does not contain cannabinoids such as THC or CBD and is therefore not psychoactive or intoxicating
each ticket contains a maximum of three drops of hemp seed oil
