no details of the ID. california have been released yet but we do know it will be based on the ID. BUZZ, an electric van that volkswagen first unveiled at NAIAS 2017. the ID.BUZZ combines nostalgic design cues from the iconic VW campervan with innovative electric technology, with specs reportedly including up to 342 miles of range and battery packs as big as 111 kWh. the final ID.BUZZ campervan is expected to be unveiled in 2022, which should give us a better idea of what the ID. california will look like.
these new all-electric vehicles mark part of volkswagen’s ‘electric era’ and the company’s goal of becoming the global market leader in electric mobility. ‘the resolutions passed today show how resolutely we are driving forward the transformation of the volkswagen group,’ said hans dieter pötsch, chairman of the supervisory board of volkswagen AG.
